Don’t Judge Me By My Looks

Seven billions of people living in this earth and everybody are different from the rest of others. Every individual person have unique characteristic of themselves. Humans are the best masterpiece that God created and each person is completely unique from others. Before you get to know me, what was your impression when you see my picture? 

My name is Diana Joy Adolfo. I am 16 years old and I was born in March 18, 2004 at Far North Hospital from Apayao Province. I am now 16 years old and counting. I live in Paratong, Vigan City. My father’s name is Eduardo Adolfo and my mother’s name is Berlina Adolfo. I have a younger sister named Nicole Adolfo, she’s in her 8th grade and many people saying that we are twins but the truth is we I am three years older than her. My mom is a house wife while my dad works at a company as a project engineer. They taught me to value time, hardwork, honesty, appreciate little things and always be thankful to God. My parents are bit strict to me, they don’t allow me to hang out with my friends, attend birthday parties alone, go outside alone, and also they don’t allow me to sleepover with my friends. They only allow me to go outside when it comes to school purposes and go to church only.

I am currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS). I am presently in my 10th grade. I feel happy to be part of this great school with the good friends, helpful and loving teachers, and the entire school staffs. I have extraordinary skills in music, math and Filipino but I am very weak in English especially when it comes to grammars. In compare to studies, I am good at music and I am part of our school choir. I also love nature, beaches, moon and stars because even when dark comes there are always billions of stars shining from the night sky, when the sky meets the ocean makes me forget my thoughts and feel safe, and being mesmerized by the green mountains and very clear waterfalls. These are my comfort zone whenever I am sad. 

Along with this, I always having fun reading books especially fiction, non-fiction, action, and also teen love stories. These stories taught me how to wait for the right mam, how magical and dangerous is the word “love”, even how many years did the guy waited for his girl but he still love her no matter what happens,. These stories taught me that “love” doesn’t always ends with a happy ever after, also about pain, sacrifices, rejection, self-love, and being faithful. These stories taught me to believe on your capabilities even though other people don’t. I love watching anime and k-dramas, and also drawing anime. My favourite anime character is Kagyema Tobio from Haikyuu. I also watch vlogs especially the vlogs of Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero. 

As humans have fears and weaknesses, so do I. I have phobia of dark and scary things like stuck in a very dark room, horror both, Halloween costume that wears bloody prosthetic. Before I have fear with scary things already but it become worse when I try to overcome my fear by entering a horror both with my friends when I was in my 7thgrade during our school intramural but something bad happen and that makes my fear became worse.  If I can’t handle my emotions or if I haven’t get enough sleep, I easily get palpitate but I am trying my best to overcome my fear and weaknesses.

Everybody has an ambition in life. Aim or ambition is the inner aspiration of everyone. No one can do anything on the world without it.so, all of us should be determined about our aim in our lives. Without good career planning, right from the start, one can’t be on the right track. I will study hard to become a CPA and I will pass my CPA board exam with the help of my friends, family and God. I shall try to be a good CPA and will strive more in the future. 

A lot of us are unique in our own ways and there are things that people can’t copy on us. Being unique and comfortable on your own makes you free and comfortable. Don’t be ashamed about yourself. Don’t call yourself ugly. Don’t be afraid to commit mistakes. Don’t be weak. Don’t live on a society full of judgemental. Because self-love is a great gift for yourself but the greatest love is when you let Jesus enter your life as your saviour. Sacrifice all to Jesus and Jesus will make your future even brighter. Even you don’t love yourself but God loves you from the very start.
